Launching in January 2023: Enhanced rebates through a new partnership with Enbridge Gas and Canada's Greener Homes Grant.

In January 2023, Enbridge Gas and Canada’s Greener Homes Grant will partner to provide rebates towards eligible retrofits such as home insulation, windows and doors, heat pumps, and renewable energy systems. The new, coordinated Home Efficiency Rebate Plus program will help more Ontarians save energy at home. This is excellent news for residents across the province of Ontario, including current Enbridge Gas customers who use natural gas to heat their homes and will benefit from enhanced rebates of up to $10,000. Participants can also offset the cost of their EnerGuide home evaluation with an additional rebate of up to $600.

• $325 per window with an Energy Rating of 40 or more 
• $175 per window with an Energy Rating of 34-39.  

The overall customer rebate amount will be up to $10,600 per residence.

HOW WILL THE HOME EFFICIENCY REBATE PROGRAM WORK

The HER+ program will start in January 2023 and will last until 2027 to help eligible Ontario residents save on their homes' energy and money costs. Enbridge Gas, in conjunction with the Canada Greener Home Grant, will team up with Natural Resources Canada (NRCan) to help Ontarians reduce the overall energy they use inside their houses.

To deliver this Home Efficiency Rebate Plus program, the Canada Greener Home Grant is offering funds across Canada to all homeowners eligible for participating in the program. With this co-delivery, residents in Ontario who are qualified for HER+ will be able to access the program’s benefits in a single application with the assistance of a Registered Energy Advisor. 

This way, homeowners can obtain any available funding through the federal government and Enbridge Gas.
